The quickest and easiest way to access and print copies of your tax documents is by using ATO online services.

If you can’t access ATO online services or you need copies of tax documents prior to 2010 you may need to phone the ATO instead of using their online services. 

They will then be able to re-issue or help you to reconstruct your tax records.

The ATO can re-issue or supply copies of tax documents such as:

• tax returns
• income statements and payment summaries
• activity statements
• notice of assessment.

If you have lost your tax file number, you can phone the ATO emergency support line on 1800 806 218. The ATO will use other information to verify your identity, such as your:

• date of birth
• address details
• bank account details.
