Other expenses

You can claim other expenses which you paid to earn your business income. Other expenses include:

  • workers' salaries and wages
  • the cost of providing fringe benefits and any fringe benefits tax paid
  • accounting and professional fees
  • advertising
  • office supplies
  • foreign exchange (forex) losses
  • costs associated with a home office or running a home-based business
  • any loss on the sale of a depreciating asset as shown in your accounts.
