Contributions

As a trustee make sure you understand the rules around which contributions can be accepted. It is your responsibility to ensure you properly document contributions, including the amount, type, breakdown, and allocate them to the members’ accounts within 28 days from the end of the month in which your fund receives them. You will also need to report all contributions in the SMSF annual return (SAR).
