Accessing the CGT calculator tool

There are 2 ways you can access the CGT calculator tool:

  • using your myGov account
  • from the ATO website.

If you use your myGov account to access the tool, you can save your CGT records to the ATO system for use in your tax return, which saves you time.

If you access the CGT calculator tool from the ATO website, you won't be able to save your records to the ATO system for use in your tax return.

You can print a copy of the calculation results for your records, and you can choose to remain anonymous when using the tool.

The ATO website provides links where you can access the CGT calculator tool.
