Dylan is an electrician, sole trader and is registered for GST. Dylan employs an apprentice and up until recently, also had a bookkeeper (who has now retired).
When Dylan is preparing his quarterly BAS and reviewing his bank account, he notices a number of payments have been made into 2 bank accounts he is unfamiliar with.
Upon further investigation he discovers that his bookkeeper, although now retired, has transferred several hundred dollars into the accounts of 2 of her family members.
What steps could Dylan have taken to prevent this happening? (Select all that apply)
- Checked his bank account transactions regularly
- Scanned his computer weekly for malware
- Removed any access the bookkeeper had to his accounting system including his bank accounts
- Changed his passwords
- Updated his antivirus software
