Getting support and reporting dodgy behaviour

Honest mistakes

Tax and GST can be complicated, and the ATO know that sometimes mistakes happen. If you unintentionally make a mistake, contact the ATO or your registered tax adviser. They can work with you to fix it.

Suspicious schemes and scams

If you become involved in a suspicious arrangement, call the ATO. Don’t wait until it’s too late. It’s better to reach out early so that they can support you to find a solution.

Tip-offs

If you suspect someone is deliberately engaging in fraudulent or illegal activity you can contact the ATO by completing the tip-off form or calling the tip-off hotline on 1800 060 062 (between 8.00am and 6.00pm AEST, Monday to Friday).
